What is the club?
The extra mile club is a group of dedicated runners of all levels who push themselves the 'extra mile' every Saturday morning at 8:00am. There are two different distance runs, a 4 mile run and a 7 mile run (one mile more than a 5K and 10K). Both runs are along the gorgeous Westchester bluffs with ocean and city views. The group runs are free to join. Please meet at Evolution Fitness at 7:45am as we try to leave promptly at 8:00am
Meet back at the clinic after the run to complete an optional RAS class (run and stretch) with a 20 minute foam roll and stretch class led by a physical therapist. Most runners understand the importance of stretching after a workout; however, few of us actually take the time to do it. We are here to help you prevent injury and will lead you through the necessary stretches to improve your recovery and reduce your risk for running-related injuries. This is a complimentary class. Foam rolls are provided on a first-come, first served basis.
